What is the relationship between iBAF and Haiyi Immigration & Education Group£¿
Haiyi Immmigration & Education Group is the parent company, sponsor, and organizer of iBAF. Haiyi's International Education Director, Megan Wong, is responsible for all iBAF Seminars. Feel free to contact Megan if your school would like to organize an iBAF Seminar or if you have any other questions.

What is the iBAF Seminar£¿
The iBAF Seminar is a custom-tailored opportunity for international boarding schools to meet and interview prospective students and parents in major cities in China. Based in Shanghai, iBAF (International Board Abroad Fair) puts its experience hosting large educational fairs to work for individual schools. We will organize a professional, advertised event at which your school has the spotlight to give a school presentation and answer questions from interested Chinese students and families.

What type of school benefits from the iBAF Seminar£¿
All public or private schools that offer High School diplomas, Bachelor or Post-graduate degrees. Chinese students are interested in going to many different countries for all levels of education and many different types of majors.

What kind of school will not benefit from the iBAF Seminar£¿
Because of the varied population of China, all schools have potential Chinese students. However, certain factors (location/prestige/academic reputation/etc) may make the seminars more successful for some schools than others.

It seems iBAF Seminars are focussed on secondary schools. Can iBAF arrange a seminar for a college or graduate school£¿
iBAF is pleased to offer seminars for international colleges and graduate schools who are interested in recruitment in China. These seminars can be arranged year round to fit your schedule.

How is the iBAF Seminar promoted£¿
We use a combination of traditional and modern methods to promote your seminar. Two to three weeks before your iBAF Seminar, we will advertise in the education sections of mainstream newspapers and in newspapers that specifically target your student age group. Information about your school and your seminar will appear on our website. We will use our extensive network of local schools and language training centres to alert students to your seminar, as well as contact families in our client database who meet your school criteria.

When is it best to hold the iBAF Seminar£¿
Saturday and Sunday are the best days because students are normally studying until late from Monday to Friday. The cost-efficient option is to have the Shanghai seminar on Saturday followed immediately by the Beijing seminar on Sunday.
Avoid the major Chinese holidays: Labor Holiday (May 1 ¨C one week), National Holiday (September 29th, 2008 ¨C one week), and Chinese New Year (January 26th, 2009 ¨C two weeks).

Can we schedule the iBAF Seminar on a weekday evening£¿
Families who are truly interested will make the time for your seminar even if it is a weekday evening. Please note the weekday evening seminar is normally from 19:00 ¨C 22:00. After 22:00 on a weekday is too late for most Chinese families.

What kind of visa should our school representative apply for to travel to China£¿
It is easiest to apply for a tourist visa, but your school may want to apply for a business visa. Our company can provide an invitation letter for your business visa application.

How do we make the best use of our time in China£¿
If you choose to schedule Seminars in Shanghai and Beijing on Saturday and Sunday respectively (over one weekend), you should consider spending one or two days extra in each city to individually meet with parents of students who are currently enrolled in your school, or any students or parents who register for the seminar, but are unable to attend some reason. Meetings can be held in Shanghai on Thursday/Friday and in Beijing, on Monday/Tuesday.

What kind of presentation we give at the Seminar£¿
Students and parents love to see pictures of your school. Use a PowerPoint presentation with clear pictures and words. We will provide a projector and the venue will have a screen and the necessary power cords. If your school does not have a PowerPoint presentation, then a picture slide show or just one picture to show on the white screen will be fine. The most important thing will be to talk to the students and parents in a welcoming manner and include all the information they are interested in knowing about your school. The details mentioned in the Chinese Brochure are of interest to most families and students. Refer to the ¡°Chinese brochure information sheet¡± which is sent upon confirmation of an event.

What materials should we bring to the Seminar£¿
The school representative should bring at least 25 original school brochures for each Seminar. Any small gift or souvenir, like school pens, is also a nice promotional idea.
